Professional Bio
Julie Aleman is a philanthropy and fundraising professional who leads the Younger Family Fund’s giving strategy, focusing on supporting outstanding leaders and their nonprofits to improve the lives of vulnerable people around the globe. She is passionate about connecting with funders and nonprofit leaders to explore thoughtful, trust-based approaches to giving and strengthening nonprofit impact. Her experience includes philanthropy portfolio strategy, major gifts fundraising, capital campaigns, and research and design thinking at Stanford’s Effective Philanthropy Learning Initiative (EPLI).
While at EPLI, Julie co-authored Designing for Philanthropy Impact: The Giving Compass and contributed to the development of The Philanthropy Toolkit and The Giving Compass website—resources designed to help high-net-worth donors navigate strategic philanthropy. She holds a BA in Religion and Cultural Anthropology from Duke University. Julie lives with her husband Nathan and three young kids in San Francisco, California and attends City Church San Francisco.
