Artificial intelligence is rapidly reshaping the way organizations work, learn, and make decisions. While many grantmakers are already using AI to draft communications, summarize reports, prepare meetings, and streamline routine tasks, these applications represent only a fraction of its potential. Increasingly, leaders are discovering that AI can do more than help us work faster. It can help us think more strategically.

Last year, Albert Chen joined us for one of our three sessions in PCP's Learning Lab series exploring artificial intelligence and philanthropy. His session introduced members to practical ways AI could strengthen their work while encouraging thoughtful engagement with this rapidly evolving technology. Since then, both the capabilities of AI and the ways organizations are putting them to use have continued to advance at an extraordinary pace.

Albert is the CEO and Co-Founder of Anago, an AI strategy firm that helps organizations thoughtfully integrate artificial intelligence into leadership, operations, and decision making. Drawing on nearly two decades of experience across the startup, corporate, ministry and nonprofit sectors, he is known for helping leaders move beyond the latest AI tools to think strategically about how AI can strengthen leadership, organizational effectiveness, and long-term impact.

Recognizing both the significance of this topic and the pace at which AI is evolving, we've intentionally designed this as an extended two-hour learning experience. The additional time will allow us to move beyond broad concepts into practical application, giving participants the opportunity to explore examples, learn practical prompting techniques, and consider how these approaches can strengthen their own leadership and grantmaking.

This workshop will explore AI as a partner in strategic thinking. Rather than simply helping leaders complete tasks more quickly, AI can serve as a tool for reflection, synthesis, and metacognition, helping us clarify assumptions, explore alternative perspectives, identify patterns across complex information, and ask better questions before making important decisions.

Together, we'll examine how AI can support strategic planning, grantmaking strategy, organizational leadership, and decision making in ways that complement, rather than replace, human judgment and wisdom. Throughout the session, Albert will demonstrate practical approaches that participants can immediately apply within their own organizations.

As Christian philanthropic leaders, we are called not simply to work more efficiently, but to steward our time, attention, and resources with wisdom. This session will invite participants to consider how AI might strengthen that stewardship, not by replacing thoughtful discernment, but by creating greater capacity for deeper reflection, better questions, and more informed decisions.
