Case Study in Collaboration:

IllumiNations

Wednesday, September 2 | Noon – 1 PM ET

A closer look at one of the most ambitious collaborative efforts in modern Christian philanthropy. IllumiNations is a global alliance of leading Bible translation organizations and partners working together toward a shared goal of eradicating “Bible poverty” by ensuring that every people group has access to Scripture in their own language by 2033.

Rather than operating as a single organization, IllumiNations represents a coordinated, multi-organization effort that brings together funders, translators, and ministry leaders around a unified vision. It reflects a model of collective impact at scale, where shared goals, aligned strategies, and pooled resources enable progress that would be difficult for any one organization to achieve alone.

In this session, we will go beyond the story to examine what has made this collaboration effective, including the role of trust, structure, shared vision, and donor alignment. We will also consider both the opportunities and challenges of this kind of work, and explore what elements might be transferable to other areas of philanthropy where deeper collaboration could unlock greater impact.
