PCP 24-Hour Prayer Retreat
We hope you will join us this October for a rare opportunity to step away from the daily grind to listen to and seek God for your own work, your foundation, and your grantee partners. We'll pray, feast, and fellowship together, and we'll also disperse to spend time in solitude with the Lord on the beautiful grounds of the retreat center at University of Saint Mary of the Lake.
We've partnered with leaders from the 24-7 Prayer network — including Pete Greig, founder of the movement and one of our conference keynote speakers this year, and his colleague Carla Harding — to shape an experience specifically for our community of grantmakers.
Whether you're shaping strategy, allocating significant resources, or discerning where to invest, this time is an invitation to step back and reflect together on questions of calling, discernment, and faithful stewardship within your grantmaking.
Venue
We're gathering at the University of Saint Mary of the Lake at their peaceful retreat and conference center. The campus offers beautiful spaces for prayer and reflection, including a chapel open 24 hours. There are scenic walking paths around St. Mary’s Lake, prayer gardens, outdoor Stations of the Cross, and quiet spaces designed for rest, reflection, and connection.
We'll have meals in a private dining room and enjoy coffee, tea, refreshments, and light snacks throughout the retreat.
Lodging
We'll stay onsite at USML's conference center, with comfortable single or double occupancy rooms and dedicated meeting spaces for our group. When you register, your room reservation will be included and there's no need to make separate lodging reservations.
Schedule
The 24-hour retreat will start with lunch on Saturday, October 3, at noon and end on Sunday, October 4, after lunch.
For those continuing to the site visit the next day, that will leave plenty of time on Sunday afternoon to relocate to the hotel near Tyndale, rest, and engage in any other desired activities before dinner. The site visit will start the next morning at 8:30 am.
